Obituary for Yoshihiko Makishi

MAKISHI, YOSHIHIKO “FIKO” (84), Korean War veteran passed away on April 13, 2010 in Culver City.  He is survived by his wife, Jean Miko Makishi; brother, Take (Shizuko) Makishi of Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Kazuyo Tsubakihara, Marie (Steven) Takano, Jane (Gene) Miyashiro, Setsuko (Glen) Arakaki and Gladys Kaneshiro, the latter three of Honolulu, HI; sisters-in-law, Margaret Makishi of Kauai, HI, Betty (Akio) Kikuchi and Mary Kasai; brother-in-law, John Maeda; grandson, Jason (Erica) Shiozaki; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00am at Venice-Santa Monica Free Methodist Church, 4871 Centinela Ave., Los Angeles. Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr., LA.  Family requests that flowers be omitted and for casual attire.
