SHINTANI, Scott Sachio (37) passed away on December 10, 2008 in Los Angeles. He is survived by his mother, Jane Shintani; fiancé, Sandra Quintero; daughter, Tailer Shintani; siblings, Steven (Cherryl) Shintani, Sherri (Akira) Hirai, Stanley (Maria) Shintani, and Sandy (Ronald) Hanada; sister-in-law, Harumi (George) Yanase; nieces, Kristin Shintani, Janae Hirai, Pilar “Letty” Shintani, and Kelsee Hazama; uncles and aunties, Masaye Kato, Florence Nakagiri, Margie Morikawa, Shigemi (Donna) Nakagiri, Jim (Mary) Nakagiri, Bob Nakagiri, June (Jimmy) Akioka, Mieko Shintani, Luiko (Masakazu) Hamaguchi, Jane Shintani, Yoshiko Shintani; also survived by numerous cousins and other relatives.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 7:30 PM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive, Culver City, CA.  Additional parking is available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Drive, LA, CA.  Family requests casual or Hawaiian attire and omission of flowers.
