Obituary for Fred Mitsuharu Matsumura

MATSUMURA, FRED MITSUHARU (85) Veteran of WWII, 442nd  RCT, I Company who peacefully passed away on January 31, 2009 in Gardena.  He is predeceased by his son, Deane Matsumura and is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Setsuko Matsumura; son, Dane (Della) Matsumura; daughter-in-law, Diana Matsumura; grandchildren, Dalyn and Lani Matsumura; siblings from Hawaii, Margaret (Jim) Uemura, Mary Koga and Chuck (Merrilyn) Matsumura; brother-in-law, Walter (Jean) Ogata and sister-in-law, Elsie (Robert) Sakai both of Hawaii; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W. 182nd Street, Torrance, CA. Family requests aloha attire and that flowers be omitted.
